Parent and Child Class at Our Waldorf School

Welcome to our parent and child class, a nurturing space where young children and their parents can come together to explore and learn through play. This program offers a unique opportunity for children to develop creativity and social skills while parents build community and deepen their relationship with their child.

Morning Activities

The morning begins with unstructured outdoor play, where children and parents can explore the natural world around them. Wooden blocks become roads or train tracks—whatever the children can imagine! Parents may join their child in child-led play or work on a simple craft project provided by the teacher.

Group Circle Time

Circle time brings delight to children through seasonal songs, nursery rhymes, and finger plays. These activities are designed to engage the children and reinforce their connection to the changing seasons.

Storytelling

A highlight of our class is storytelling using natural materials such as wooden blocks, woolen animals, and handmade people. Stories are told on cloths draped to create natural scenes, echoing the cycle of nature and fostering a love for stories in children.

Consistent Routine

Our class follows a consistent routine each week, allowing even the youngest children to feel comfortable and part of the larger group. The familiarity of the schedule helps children develop confidence and independence.
