The WISE Charter School Council & Fundraising Society warmly welcomes all parents and guardians to participate in our meetings!
The WISE Charter School Council provides an opportunity for families to stay informed, share ideas, connect with one another, and play an active role in supporting our school community. Meetings include updates from school administration,
discussions about school initiatives, fundraising activities, and opportunities for parent involvement.
The WISE Charter School Fundraising Society works alongside School Council by organizing fundraising initiatives and managing the funds raised to support school programs, special events, and opportunities that enrich our children’s educational
experiences and strengthen our school community.

WISE Community Book Circle
Our WISE Community Book Circle brings parents, caregivers, and community members together to explore meaningful books on childhood development, parenting, and Waldorf education. Through shared reading and thoughtful discussion, we hope to deepen our understanding of children while strengthening the connections within our school community.
Our 2026–2027 Book Selection:
Raising Sound Sleepers: Helping Children Use their Senses to Rest and Self-Soothe by Dr. Adam Blanning
This year’s selection explores how children’s senses influence sleep, rest, emotional regulation, and overall well-being. Offering practical insights for families with children from infancy through adolescence, the book encourages a deeper understanding of how
we can support children’s natural rhythms and growing independence.
We are especially delighted that Dr. Adam Blanning will be the keynote speaker at the upcoming Gateways Conference!
Meeting Details:
Our first official Book Circle gathering will take place on Wednesday, January 6, 2027, following the conclusion of the School Council meeting, at approximately 8:30 p.m. The Book Circle will continue following subsequent School Council meetings.
Participants are welcome to join us in person at the school or online using the Zoom link provided above.
- Wednesday, January 6, 2027
- Wednesday, March 3, 2027
- Wednesday, May 5, 2027
- Wednesday, June 2, 2027
A special note: The Gateways Conference takes place April 30–May 1, with Dr. Adam Blanning as this year’s keynote speaker, as mentioned! Our May gathering will be a lovely opportunity to reflect on and share insights from the conference alongside our reading.
